It seems hard to believe that an entire year has passed since I last took pictures of sweet Rainy. She is, to date, one of my favorite little people to take pictures of! Her personality is so sweet, and her eyes so expressive. I love the change of pace and feel that taking pictures in Nebraska gives me. The light and color is so different than it is in Arizona, no less beautiful, but I just love taking photos there!
Oh, I am so behind! With family in town, and then vacation, I am working hard to get all caught up!
This was a mini-session with gorgeous Jaclyn and her beautiful daughter. Everything seemed to "click" so easily with this session (ha ha) and I think we were done after about 15 minutes. The heat here is getting brutal. Thank you so much Jaclyn and sweet Miss. B! It is always a delight to work with you! xoxo
Working with Nicole (aka Ember Scott) is always a treat. It was extra special this time because I got to meet her absolutely sweet and adorable son, and take some special pics of both mommy and her little guy. The session went beautifully, and the light was crazy beautiful, especially when it played off the golden field. No real glitches at all unless you count the moment where I wiped out trying to jump a ditch with a rocking chair (yeah...embarrassing), and the fact that my vehicle makes an annoying loud clicking sound every 2 seconds (gotta get that fixed, lol).
So thank you Nicole! You are lovely, and your son is such a gentleman!

I'm dusting off my blog here...I'm so embarrassed that it's been so long. The last few weeks have been pretty overwhelming. When it rains it totally pours right? :).
However, I'm so happy to be back from hiatus with this beautiful family! The T family was such a homey, intimate session and I'm so honored that they welcomed me into their beautiful home to capture their family. A sweet cuddly new baby, an adorable sassy little three year old, and a doting mom and dad. Definitely makes for a great shoot! Thank you T family!

There is nothing quite like the glow that first time parents radiate. Michael and Espy are patiently awaiting the arrival of their sweet little boy, and couldn't be any kinder. This little guy is going to be so loved and doted on. Congratulations to you both! I am so happy for you!

Ok, let me start off by saying that I've lived in Arizona for almost 10 years now. My blood has thinned. My tolerance for cold weather has officially put me at a high wussy status. 10º did not bring out the woman in me :D. I'd be willing to say that my sister (who I was lucky enough to have join me on this shoot) felt the same way. 90% of the time you could hear us complaining...everything from the fear that our numb fingers were going to fall off, to the snot that had frozen to our cheeks. Probably not the cutest we had ever looked :).
Our lovely model, Jaime, however never uttered a peep of protest. Jaime is not only one of my oldest friends from home, but possibly one of the kindest, sweetest people I know. And in all honesty, has absolutely no idea how gorgeous she is. She is a wonderful wife and mommy, and is truly just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Meet the stunning Jaime!
