Lily. Taken with my tilt shift, which I absolutely love and don't know why I don't use more often. It's such a cool lens. Pure fun and awesomeness. And as always, I had a lot of fun with these edits. I love shooting just for myself, and don't do it often enough. And another thing, I feel like my style is changing slowly, and I'm curious and looking forward to where it is going to lead me. I love being part of this project, and being creative with a bunch of amazingly talented artists.
Be sure to continue the circle by visiting this month's work from the fabulous

"Created by Nichole Van, I’ve banded together with a handful of other photographers to start a blog project focusing on exploring the fine art side of photography. Each month, we will post a photo or series of images focused on art and photography. There are no rules. Just post what comes from the heart and allow the inner artist a chance to explore and fly."
I'm very honored that I was invited to participate in this venture with so many incridible artists. I rarely go out and shoot for myself anymore. Life is busy. Running a business, children in school and all the activities that entails, being a mom, being a wife, maintaining a home... it's hard to find the time and reason to go out and be creative for it's own sake.
So, this is my reason and my excuse. A little bit of time every month to try and make real all the stuff that runs through my head. :)

I'm having a hard time finding things through the cloud of dust on my blog ;). I feel terrible that it has been so long. Blogging takes me FOREVER, so I usually put it on the back burner, and with an incredibly busy last six months, I have really let it slide into neglect.
Nothing makes me happier to make a blogging comeback than posting Brittany and Merek's wedding. It was magnificent, and I was touched to be able to capture a couple that was not only so strongly in love, but also had such a love of family and friends. That day was what getting married is all about. Love, commitment, happiness, playfulness, friendship, faith....I could go on forever. I'm so honored I was a part of it.

Brandi is a sweet friend of mine, and someone who I've known for quite awhile now. Our boys are even the same age! The Strieter's are great. So relaxed, so fun, and seriously, the time just flew. Thank you Brandi and family! It was so great to finally get to do your family photos! I know we've talked about it for a long time now, and I'm so happy to have done it!
